Manmade log jams tested as fish saver

    Engineered log jams, like this one located on the Stillaguamish River, will be used to improve salmon habitat on the Green River downstream from the Howard Hanson Dam.

    In a portion of the Green River, downstream from the Howard Hanson Dam, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is working with nature in an attempt to bring fish habitat back to the river bed.
