Whitaker is assisting management of the firm's preconstruction services team. Broadlick has worked for the company for four of his 20-plus years in the business. Guerrette has 16 years of experience and Temp has 17. Finney, who specializes in historic renovations and seismic upgrades, has been with the company for 10 years.
The Seattle office also promoted Leon Borden, Dave Killian, Gerard McGlynn and Mike Richotte to senior superintendents. Borden has worked with Skanska for 12 years. Killian has been with the firm for five years and has 24 years of experience. McGlynn joined Skanska 15 years ago and Richotte has been with the company for 12 of his 26 years in the industry

Thomas A. Donovan has been appointed senior vice president--director of operations for Parsons Construction Group, a new global business unit of Parsons Corp. The company also announced
Scott Jennings is senior vice president of the unit. Donovan is responsible for the unit's worldwide operations, including estimating/project controls, field operations and design/build. He has over 30 years of industry experience. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the University of Rhode Island; a master's degree in civil engineering from Virginia Polytechnic University; and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. Jennings is responsible for business development and construction work in the Pacific islands. He has 15 years of experience, including seven with RCI, which was bought earlier this year by Parsons. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Drexel University, and a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Donovan is based in the Seattle office while Jennings is based in Honolulu.

Pat Nickerson as a site superintendent. Baxter works in the tenant improvement division and Roberts is in the shell and core group. Baxter has eight years of experience in the construction and landscaping industry, and holds a bachelor's degree in law and justice from Central Washington University. Roberts holds bachelor's degrees in construction management from the University of Washington and business administration and management from Mesa State College in Colorado. Nickerson has been in the construction industry for 27 years.

Park is working in Seattle in the Commercial Division. He holds a master's degree and a Ph.D., both in civil engineering from the University of Washington. Will is also working in the Commercial Division. He recently earned his bachelor's degree in construction management at the University of Washington. Wilson and DeLeon are working in the Special Projects Division. Wilson holds a bachelor's degree in business from Washington State University. Cornell has over 13 years of experience, and attended Highline Community College. Sharp previously worked in accounting for Venture Construction and Shuttle Express.

Bob Smyth of Western Tile & Marble in Bellevue will be awarded the Giacomo DeLazzero Lifetime Achievement Award at the Oct. 5 Tile Contractors' Association of America's annual convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Smyth and an uncle started Western Tile in 1956. He has been involved in the association since 1963, and is currently chairman of the board of trustees.
Tacoma's Rushforth Construction recently raised $40,000 for charities from its 17th annual golf tournament. The charities include the Tacoma-Pierce County YMCA, the Salvation Army, First Place for Children, the Phoebe House, and the National Foundation for Transplants for Brooke Snider.
