Monroe-based Canyon Creek Cabinet Co. promoted Ron Larson to vice president of finance and Bonnie Styles to controller. In his new role, Larson directs the company's financial systems. He was director of accounting at the company since 2003. Styles has held a managerial position in the company's accounting department for nearly seven years.
Regence BlueShield appointed Samuel Anderson to its community board to help guide the company's strategic direction. Anderson is CEO of the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties. Before joining the MBA, Anderson was general counsel and director of public policy for the National Ski Areas Association. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon and Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College.

Portland-based construction consultant Pinnell/Busch is opening an office in Seattle to serve its Washington clients. Michael Norman, senior project manager and construction claims analyst, has been hired to run it. Norman has 25 years of industry experience, serving as a project manager for Hoffman Construction in Seattle, a developer and a construction lawyer. He holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and master's degrees in construction management and environmental engineering from Stanford University. He also received a law degree from the Northwestern School of Law in Portland. The new office will offer estimating and scheduling, construction defect investigations, owner representative and other services.


Privately held construction company Kirtley-Cole Associates hired Charlie Poggemann as a senior project manager and Ryan Rantz as an estimator. Poggemann has 20 years of construction industry experience, the past 10 at Bird Construction and prior to that with S.D. Deacon. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from California Polytechnic State University. Rantz has eight years of construction industry experience and was previously with Corstone Contractors, Graham Contracting and Bird Construction. He is a LEED Accredited Professional and holds a bachelor's degree in construction management from the University of Washington.
The Washington Association of Sewer and Water Districts recognized Pat Bara of the Lake Stevens Sewer District for “effective leadership from a non-executive.” Bara is executive assistant to the district manager at LSSD. She served as the association's Public Relations Committee chair from 2007 to 2010, a role normally reserved for management–level members. Bara will be recognized at the association's annual conference on Sept. 29 in Wenatchee.
