Dharavi is the largest slum in Mumbai and you caught some glimpses of it if you saw the hit movie “Slumdog Millionaire.”
It's a teeming swath of informal (technically illegal) development, where structures meet no definable building standard, toilets are extremely scarce and there are even fewer water taps. Small ladders lead to upper stories, and sidewalks are unimaginable.
