Construction manager: Safety
Under 50,000 hours
Aecon tracks its near misses
and accidents in its
month-end reports.
Aecon Buildings
The safety of people, assets and the environment is Aecon Buildings’ highest priority. Each site has its own safety plan tailored to the project’s potential hazards.
As the general contractor, Aecon sets the safety standards for all subcontractors on the site. Every foreman and superintendent, from all companies on the site, are asked to provide input on how to make the site safer for all workers.
This ownership makes Aecon’s sites and safety standards unique and dependable. Aecon tracks its near misses and accidents in its month-end reports, believing that “what gets measured gets improved.”
Aecon has been an AGC Safety Team member since 1999.
