MultiCare Behavioral Health and Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital have a new mental health center for teens.
The 17,700-square-foot, 27-bed hospital unit is named Mary Bridge Adolescent Behavioral Health at Tacoma General. It is on the first floor of Rainer Tower at MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, overlooking Wright Park.
The center is designed to be a modern, inviting space with private rooms and open social areas. It includes state-of-the-art safety features to protect patients and staff.
Treatment is geared toward short-term stays; many of these patients now seek treatment in emergency rooms. The center treats conditions such as major depression, anxiety disorders, psychosis, schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
