The $9 million building has an academic wing with 21 classrooms and a community wing. The passageway between the wings is the focal point for the school, drawing its inspiration from the nearby ship canal. Detailing throughout the building reflects the waterway. Subtle changes in building forms and materials distinguish each wing, though the use of color and pattern unifies the building.
