Dahlia Lounge hosts 'A Chef and his Cookbook'

  • SEATTLE -- On Dec. 6, beginning at 6:30 p.m., the Dahlia Lounge will host a winter cookbook dinner featuring the creations of chef Cory Schreiber.

    The event will take place in the restaurant's private dinning room and will highlight recipes from Schreiber's cookbook, "Wildwood: Cooking from the Source in the Pacific Northwest." His menu includes apple cider-cured smoked salmon, Olympia oyster, fennel and bacon chowder, wild mushroom toast with roasted garlic, caramelized onions and goat cheese and roasted partridge with creamed Brussels sprouts. Dinner will be followed by a dessert of maple-syrup-poached pears with warm walnut spice cake.

    The price is $170 per couple and includes one copy of his cookbook. The price per individual for the dinner plus the cookbook is $105. Wines are included, tax and 17-percent gratuity are additional. Call (206) 441-4122 for reservations.
