Ryan Cos. announced the recent hiring of Gil Gonzalez. He makes the move from Greystar's Southern California office. Gonzalez brings over 20 years of experience to Ryan's multifamily team. The company's Rick Collins said in a statement, “Gil's extensive experience in multifamily will be an asset as we navigate the nuances of this sector.” He'll also continue to work in the Arizona and California markets.

Columbia Pacific lends $38M for Florida units

Columbia Pacific Advisors announced the recent provision of a $38.1 million loan for the completion of a multifamily project under construction in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. (That's in the state's panhandle, near Tallahassee.) Completion is expected this summer, with 14% of the 122 units now pre-leased. Columbia Pacific said the funding amounted to about 30% of the total construction cost. Its Will Nelson said, “The development's ideal location and high-end offerings will welcome permanent residents and their vacation subletters alike.” He also said the city expects 6 million visitors each year. The borrower wasn't named. When completed, the five-building mixed-use complex will also include about 11,000 square feet of retail.

There were two recent promotions at Evergreen Home Loans, the company announced. Don Zender and Todd Miles are now both executive vice presidents in the Bellevue office of the direct home lender. Zender said in a statement, “For over three decades, I've witnessed amazing growth and innovation at Evergreen. We're well positioned to leverage our digital expertise and enhanced services to help our loan officers, real estate professionals, and customers.” Evergreen operates in six states along the West Coast and inland.

Tye Kinnear was promoted to chief financial officer at Molbak's Garden + Home. Kinnear was director of finance and administration. Prior to joining Molbak's in 2017, Kinnear served as senior business manager for Odin, a business unit of Ingram Micro. He previously worked as a finance manager at Vulcan and as a financial planning analyst at Washington Mutual in Seattle. Kinnear earned a finance degree from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Seattle University. Founded in 1956 in Woodinville, Molbak's is one of the largest independent garden retailers in the Pacific Northwest.

Fortive

Fortive appointed Olumide Soroye as president and chief executive officer of its Intelligent Operating Solutions (IOS) segment. Soroye comes from CoreLogic, a global provider of property information, analytics, software and data-enabled customer-centric workflow solutions, where he was managing director of property intelligence and risk management. Prior to joining CoreLogic, Soroye was a senior vice president with QuinStreet, as well as a partner at McKinsey & Co. As the leader of IOS, Soroye joins Fortive's other two segment leaders, Barbara Hulit, president and CEO of the Advanced Healthcare Solutions segment, and Pat Murphy, president and CEO of the Precision Technologies segment. Everett-based Fortive provides essential technologies for connected workflow solutions across a range of end markets.

Cort Tenting Solutions, an extension of Cort Party Rental, has expanded to include additional service areas in Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Northern California. Cort Tenting Solutions previously only serviced the Seattle metropolitan area. Cort offers a range of structure rentals and product solutions for outdoor environments. The company also offers turnkey services, including project management, site consultations, planning and permitting, in-house design and manufacturing, custom branding and graphics, and on-site logistical support for large-scale events and outdoor gatherings. Cort is a part of Berkshire Hathaway, and has more than 100 locations across the U.S.

ZoomInfo

Vancouver-based ZoomInfo, a global provider of go-to-market software, data and intelligence, has been named to the 2021 Fortune Best Workplaces for Millennials List. Fortune worked with its research partner Great Place to Work to find the 100 best employers for those born between 1981 and 1997. To determine millennials' workplace preferences, Great Place to Work analyzed feedback representing more than 5.3 million U.S. employees. ZoomInfo offers a number of incentives to make its workplace more comfortable. The company is returning to in-person work under a hybrid-remote structure to ease employees back into the office setting and enable collaboration while still emphasizing a work-life balance. Tukwila-based Pacific Rim Environmental named Tricia Lewis its new president and CEO. Lewis has been with the hazardous materials testing and consulting company for almost 30 years and most recently was its executive vice president. PacRim was founded in 1990.

Kirkland-based Blueline hired MaKenzie Fockler as an engineer, Melanie Williams as an engineering drafter, Dan Saarenas as an engineering designer, David (Dave) Bramer as a project landscape architect, Rudy Jimenez Jr. as an engineering designer and Jerome Walker as a construction inspector. Fockler will work on residential projects. She has a bachelor's in civil engineering from the University of Washington and engineering experience at RH2 Engineering and Hatton Godat Pantier. Williams has a bachelor's in civil engineering from the Cebu Institute of Technology-University in the Philippines and experience doing survey work in the field and office. Most recently, she worked for PACE in its Oregon office doing survey drafting. Saarenas has over 10 years of civil design experience. He will work on residential projects. Bramer has over 10 years of experience in the landscape architecture field. He will work on multifamily, mixed used and other commercial projects. Jimenez will work on public works projects. He has experience as a civil CAD designer on water and wastewater projects with Brown & Caldwell in Seattle and other engineering firms in Houston. Walker has a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Georgia Southern University and studied in South Korea. Fockler, Williams and Bramer will work in the Kirkland office. Walker will be based in Mill Creek and Saarenas in Tukwila. Jimenez is working remotely from Houston and will relocate to Kirkland. Blueline provides civil engineering, land use planning and landscape architecture services.

A recent graduate of the School of Urban Studies at the University of Washington – Tacoma, Zirkle is involved with the design production of projects that include a museum expansion, a new Lincoln automotive dealership and a waterfront custom home. Messana has over 40 years of experience providing program, project and engineering management for electrical and industrial projects. His project experience spans multiple industries and he has worked nationally and internationally. He comes to Parametrix from Barry-Wehmiller Design Group via Parker, Messana & Associates (PMA Engineering) which he owned and operated for 25 years. Moss has over 40 years of experience working on municipal and industrial water resources projects. He previously was part of Parametrix's Portland office, providing environmental consulting services. Most recently he was the water reclamation manager and capital projects manager for Spokane County's Environmental Services Department. Hiatt has 18 years of experience providing engineering design and construction services for cities, counties and water and sewer districts. His project experience includes pipelines, pump stations, on-site stormwater collection, building/facility upgrades and planning. He was with Murraysmith. Linke has seven years of experience in civil engineering with a structural focus, working primarily on marine structures. He comes to Parametrix from BergerABAM/WSP. Hiatt works in the Seattle office and the others are in Puyallup. Parametrix provides engineering, planning and environmental sciences.

Allwest hired Max Kasberger as a project engineer and Ashleigh Gertsch as a project assistant in its Spokane Valley office. Kasberger holds a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from the University of North Dakota. He was a geotechnical engineer at Liberty Geotech. Gertsch has a bachelor's degree in geology from Eastern Washington University. Hayden, Idaho-based Allwest has a staff of engineers, geologists and engineers-in-training serving the Inland Northwest.

POSaBIT appointed Louis Camhi to its board of directors. Camhi has significant experience in capital markets, public companies, payment processing and investment banking, and is an investor in both private and public companies. Previously, Camhi worked as an analyst at Citadel where he managed an equity long short portfolio focused on payments and financial technology companies. Prior to Citadel, Camhi worked as a senior analyst at Three Corner Global, a fundamental long short equity hedge fund. He began his career as an investment banker in the mergers and acquisitions group at Credit Suisse Group. Camhi received his Bachelor of Science in Finance and Accounting from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.

HomeStreet, Inc., the parent company of HomeStreet Bank, will reach its 100 year anniversary on August 18, 2021. The state of Washington has issued a Century Corporation certificate acknowledging the incorporation on the same date back in 1921. According to Secretary of State Kim Wyman, that of the nearly 2900 incorporations filed in 1921, only 33 still exist today. HomeStreet is a diversified financial services company headquartered in Seattle, serving consumers and businesses in the Western United States and Hawaii through its various operating subsidiaries. Its principal subsidiaries are HomeStreet Bank and HomeStreet Capital.

PotlatchDeltic

PotlatchDeltic announced changes to public access to its Idaho timberlands. Due to severe fire danger in the region, effective immediately and until further notice, all public use of PotlatchDeltic privately-owned timberlands for recreation is suspended. The extreme fire season and continued dry conditions in Idaho are stressing available firefighting resources and risking public safety, property, and impacting wildlife. PotlatchDeltic has closed public access to its ownership areas, including the use of PotlatchDeltic roads and walk-in access. Leased campsites must be vacated before August 1, 2021. The temporary closure is permitted under the access terms in the Idaho Department of Fish and Game's Large Tracts Program. Several other area landowners who participate in the Program have also recently suspended access due to the excessive fire danger. PotlatchDeltic is a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) that owns approximately 1.8 million acres of timberlands in Alabama, Arkansas, Idaho, Louisiana, Minnesota and Mississippi.
