The South Puget Sound industrial market's inventory of large spaces continues to tighten with the impending lease of Sumner Central to Brooks Apparel. One broker predicts the dwindling supply of big boxes will lead to increased rents and something we haven't seen for a while: speculative development.
John Sullivan of CB Richard Ellis said Brooks may be “stair-stepping” into the 420,000-square-foot building. It's expected to be leaving 120,000 square feet in Kent, moving some operations from Los Angeles and planning for growth.
