The Suquamish Tribe has a new 35,000-square-foot youth and fitness center near Poulsbo on Port Madison Indian Reservation.
Two separate buildings are connected by a breezeway. Colored glass panels provide visual connections between the buildings.
The fitness center has an NBA-sized gymnasium with seating for 200, a fitness room, lounge, kitchen and racquetball court. The youth center has a dining room, kitchen, arts and crafts room, multipurpose room, staff office, and gathering space for youth and teens.
The complex is near the tribe's Early Learning Center and baseball field, creating an education and recreation campus for the tribe.
