John L. Scott Real Estate's West Seattle office added 10 new sales associates: Jack Angus, Cara Copeland, Dave Copeland, Scott Engstrom, Joyce Gunderson, Tracey Hunter, Brian Louderback, Chris Massie, Jan Rooney and Kari Scott. Three started in the Redmond office: Joy Andersen, Curtis Patterson and Bob Ahern. Three more began in Burien: Jirapon Keokitvon, Brad Howell and Melissa Galbavy. David Markwell became a sales associate in Des Moines. Seven joined the Issaquah office: David Arnold, Eliza Stephenson, Glenn Curtis, Brenda Poskitt, Kathy Skripek, Janet Kurz and Kathleen Irish.
State legislative candidates will hear about issues of importance to residential real estate agents during four noon-hour briefings organized by the Seattle-King County Association of Realtors. The sessions are Monday, June 17, at the King Country Regional Library in Bellevue; Tuesday, June 18 at the Kent Library (212 Second Ave. N.); Wednesday, June 19, at the Miller Community Center (330 19th Ave. E.); Thursday, June 20, at the Shoreline Library (345 N.E. 175th). Recent promotions and hires at Columbia Hospitality for the Bell Harbor International Conference Center include Jennifer Hansen, former event planning manager, promoted to sales manager; Kristi-Lynn Brown, previously senior sales manager for the Renaissance Madison in Seattle, was hired as a sales manager; Wayne Lee was hired as accounts payable coordinator; Natasha Jankauskas was promoted to event planning manager; and Wade Nixdorff, formerly regional manager at Eagle Guard Services, was hired as a concierge. At the World Trade Center Seattle, Columbia named Courtney Clouse, previously a concierge at Bell Harbor, as event planning manager. Columbia Hospitality managed properties include: Bell Harbor International Conference Center, World Trade Center Seattle and The Inn at Langley. Kevin G. Montler joined Graham & Dunn as an associate. Montler will join the firm's hospitality, beverage and franchise industry team
Jeff Bowman joined Redmond-based Northwest Suites Inc. as manager of carpet cleaning. The corporate housing firm's carpet cleaning division maintains 400 to 1,200 apartments, depending on the season. Bowman will oversee a team of six and grow housekeeping services beyond Northwest Suites properties. Bowman moved to Seattle in August 1995 and has held positions in improving operations and developing new business with a variety of firms, including Adventures in Advertising, Bensussen, Deutsch & Associates and YouthStream Media. He grew up in Virginia and attended the University of South Florida in Tampa, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude.

Ada Healey, vice president for real estate at Paul Allen's Vulcan Inc., will talk about South Lake Union redevelopment at the June 13 lunch meeting of Commercial Real Estate Women. The event will run from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Washington Athletic Club in downtown Seattle. The National Association of Office and Industrial Properties' 2002 property tour, scheduled for June 6, will focus on the Kent Valley, Renton and Tukwila. "We have a full program with project updates from Boeing Realty, CenterPoint Corporate Park and Sabey Corp.," NAIOP says. "You'll get answers to: What ever happened to those telecom and dot-com buildings? Are there really new developments happening on the shores of Lake Washington and what are the new speculative developments?" NAIOP exceeds 400 local members and will limit the tour to 200 people, so it says not to wait to reserve a spot. Jeremey Johnson and George Rider became sales associates in Windermere Real Estate's Eastlake office. Johnson was previously a transportation and staffing manager with Seattle VIP Services. Rider was a product manager with Pacific Coast Trading in San Diego.
Windermere's Magnolia office hired Olivia Boucher, Kerstin G. Brooks, Colleen McCann and Heidi Ward as sales associates. Boucher comes from 25 years in the banking
industry. Brooks was previously the chief operating officer for Realty Solutions in Seattle. Her background also includes title insurance and property management. McCann was previously an office manager with
Ascent Partners Group in Seattle. Ward moved up from licensed assistant in the Magnolia office.
