Scott

MILA Inc., a wholesale non-prime lender, has appointed Nicole Scott compliance manager assistant. She joins compliance manager Sandra Thomas. Both were previously compliance regulators with the state Department of Financial Institutions. They will help MILA continue obtaining licensing and compliance requirements in additional states. Also, MILA officials say the company is the anchor tenant of the newly named CRS Corporate Centre, 20700 44th Ave. W., in Lynnwood. CRS Financial LLC, a Washington company that acquires and operates commercial real estate, recently closed on the purchase of the Quadrant I-5 office. The property is receiving $5.5 million in improvements. Ric Brandt of CB Richard Ellis is the leasing agent.

Noble House Hotels & Resorts

Seattle-based Noble House Hotels & Resorts announced a major renovation and rebranding of its Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort. Company officials call the resort a Daytona icon and say it's undergoing a $7 million upgrade. More renovations are planned. Since it acquired the property in 1996, Noble has invested more than $10 million, including the current work, in the property. It will become The Shores Resort & Spa Jan. 1. Noble owns and manages 12 boutique hotels, including The Edgewater in Seattle, and resorts across the country.

HomeStreet Capital

Tom Meunier of HomeStreet Capital arranged a bridge loan for a condo conversion project, Richmond Condominiums. As part of the conversion, the Richmond Apartments in Bellevue are also being rehabilitated. The $6.8 million loan covers the purchase plus improvements at the 57-unit property, built in 1986.

Builder Sales Group/Windermere

Officials of Builder Sales Group/Windermere Real Estate say the last of its 30 luxury condos at Allenmore East in Tacoma have sold. MC Construction Consultants built the project. MC President Mike Cohen said the sales indicate strong demand for upscale homes in downtown Tacoma. MC Construction is planning a high-end, 70-unit condo community in the Thea Foss neighborhood of Tacoma. Plans call for three residential towers atop parking, office, retail and the Pioneer Museum of Motorcycles, which eventually could occupy 10,000 square feet of the ground floor space.

John L. Scott

The Kent North office of John L. Scott has added five new staff members: Baljit Singh Shemby, who is new to real estate; Deanna Peters, who has 15 years of real estate experience; Rhonda Calabrese, previously of Coldwell Banker Bain; Sherry Vandersnick, who has bought and sold 16 homes on her own; and Teresa Hawk, formerly a bookkeeper for a golf course her family owns.

ULI Seattle

Today is the registration deadline for ULI Seattle's 7:30 a.m. July 28 meeting on the 40th floor of the Bank of America Tower, 701 Fifth Ave., Seattle. The topic is "Creating the Urban Village: Housing in Seattle."" Al Levine, deputy executive director of the Seattle Housing Authority, and Greg Smith, CEO of Gregory Broderick Smith Real Estate, will speak. NAIOP

Members of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties will take a look at the revitalization of Bremerton Sept. 16 at the new Kitsap Conference Center at Bremerton Harborside. U.S. Rep. Norm Dicks, Bremerton Mayor Cary Bozeman, PJ Santos of Opus Northwest and Walt Niehoff of LMN Architects will speak.
