The Sumner office of Parametrix recently hired
Thomas Lindahl to work in the engineering and wastewater treatment areas. Lindahl's responsibilities will include project management and business development for the firm's water and wastewater discipline. Lindahl is working on the regional water and wastewater system in Shelton.

Colleen Harris joined Apex Engineering as a project manager. She has 20 years of municipal permitting and design experience, including residential, commercial and industrial. Her recent focus has been working on processing permits.
Kalman Axelrod, a senior project manager with more than 30 years experience in architecture, has re-joined Callison as an associate principal. Axelrod will work on mixed-use developments, using his experience on domestic and international projects and operational expertise. Axelrod has worked on the PyongTaek Station in Pyongtaek, Korea, a mixed-use development which includes a transit station, department store, specialty retail and cinema. He also worked on Giga World at Linear City in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia, a 13-million-square-foot, mixed-use facility. His current retail projects include the World Financial Center in New York.

Bassetti Architects has named six associates.
Nancy Callery joined Bassetti in 1999. Her recent work includes project management of a new recreational complex for the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe, Forest Ridge School addition and a master plan for Villa Academy.
Jeffrey Dunning joined Bassetti in 1998. He was project architect for the new Pacific Cascade Freshman Campus in Issaquah, and project manager for the modernization of Canyon Park Junior High School in Bothell.
Kirt Neal joined Bassetti in 2001. His current projects include Highline School District's Camp Waskowitz and First United Methodist Church in Seattle.
Ranleigh Starling joined Bassetti Architects in 1998. She was project architect for West Seattle High School and Highline School District's Aviation High School.
Judy Yeoh joined Bassetti in 2004. Her projects include the new Lynnwood High School and Kingston High School.
Steve Zang joined Bassetti in 1996. His projects include the Fulton Performing Arts Center, Physical Education Building and Fine Arts Barn at the Overlake School, Renton's Benson Hill Elementary School, and Cottage Lake Elementary School for the Northshore School District.

Natalie Dohrn to principal and
Daniel Jardine to senior associate. Dohrn is project manager and designer for a new junior high school and replacements for Aylen and Kalles junior high schools for Puyallup School District. Jardine's assignments include project manager for the new Group Health Cooperative Medical Center in Bellevue and University of Washington Condon Hall remodel.

Stephen Wood has joined as a project manager and will be working on the new cruise ship terminal for the Port of Seattle. His previous experience includes several high-end residences with Olson Sundberg Kundig Allen and a conference center with NBBJ.
Meredith Kelly has rejoined Patano+Hafermann. She will be project architect for several residential projects, and work on Lake Sammamish State Park.

NBBJ recently added seven to its staff.
Dale Alberda's current projects include Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver, Virginia Mason Medical Center master plan and east campus project in Seattle; and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation in San Carlos, Calif.
Brenda Clark, a controller for NBBJ, oversees domestic and international tax issues, including projections, compliance, research, policies and processes.
Kay Compton serves as design lead for NBBJ's commercial and mixed-use practice and is working on a Bellevue project with more than one million square feet of office, retail, hotel and condo space.
Liz Jacks' projects include Washington University in St. Louis, Miss., and the Stanford University Learning and Knowledge Center in Calif.
Diane Lindberg-Nigh's current work includes the new 315,000-square-foot inpatient hospital for Seattle's Swedish Orthopedic Institute and the St. Joseph Patient Care Center in Orange, Calif.
Lynne Shira is working with the Swedish Medical Center Orthopedic Hospital in Seattle, and the San Carlos Center for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.
Nancy Waiss is responsible for coordinating facilities and office services across the firm. She recently led logistical efforts for the move from Pioneer Square to South Lake Union, and she plays a role in risk management.

Northwest Mechanical Engineering hired Lincoln Whitney as an engineer in training/mechanical designer for the firm. Whitney has a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Montana Tech.
