Oki Golf added Peggy Conley to The Golf Club at Newcastle's instruction team. Conley, a member of the Pacific Northwest Golf Hall of Fame, will teach individual lessons, group lessons and clinics. The club is south of Bellevue, at 15500 Six Penny Lane in Newcastle. Conley's career included 15 years on the LPGA and European Ladies Tour. A car accident ended her pro career in the early 1990s.
Seattle-based ZymoGenetics named Douglas E. Williams chief scientific officer and executive vice president to work on research and development. Williams was chief technical officer of Immunex Corp., and most recently chief scientific officer of research and development at Bothell-based Seattle Genetics. Frank Collins is retiring as chief scientific officer. ZymoGenetics is a biopharmaceutical company that works on therapeutic proteins for prevention or treatment of human diseases.
William (Bill) A. Harris was named portfolio manager for Allen Trust Co. He will work on client portfolios, investment strategy and equity research. He was a director of the private investment company Jeffrey Co., which focuses on efficient investing. He also has a background in real estate investment. Allen Trust is an Oregon-based trust and investment management company with offices in Portland and southwest Washington.
Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, a provider of residential mortgages, will open its newest retail store Sept. 20 at 4900 Rainier Ave. S., in the Columbia City neighborhood. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is based in Des Moines, Iowa, and is a subsidiary of Wells Fargo & Co.
Jeff Dyck has been promoted to director of operations for Windham, N.H.-based Cascade Steel Rolling Mills, a wholly owned subsidiary of Portland-based Schnitzer Steel Industries. Dyck will work on operations. Administrative functions will be managed by Cascade's president, Kurt Zetzsche until he retires at 65 in November.

Central Washington University named Julie Cloninger senior director of development. Cloninger, who worked in event coordination and fundraising for U.S. Senator Max Baucus of Montana, will solicit major gifts and work on capital campaigns. Central Washington University is located in Ellensburg.
Lawyer Renea L. Saade joins Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt as an associate in the commercial litigation group. Saade specializes in civil litigation, including employment law, product liability and bankruptcy law. She was an associate at Boston-based Riemer & Braunstein and Lane, Altman & Owens LLP. Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt has 145 lawyers in Portland, Bend and Salem, Ore., Seattle and Vancouver, and Washington D.C.
This fall Edmonds Community College begins a new program to foster entrepreneurship in Snohomish County. New classes will teach skills to help students start businesses or be more entrepreneurial in the workplace. The hospitality industry will be a first focus, as a Snohomish County study found it is one of the fastest areas of economic growth.
