RealNetworks named Cary Baker chief financial officer and treasurer. Baker was CFO at Heat Software and NetMotion Software, and held senior roles at Clearwire, Boost Mobile and Sprint. He succeeds Marjorie Thomas, who is taking a job at Allen Institute for Brain and Cell Sciences. RealNetworks creates apps and services for digital media.

First Sound Bank hired Debora Webber as senior vice president and relationship manager of commercial lending. She has worked at Key Bank and HomeStreet Bank.
Medi-Weightloss has opened a Lynnwood location. Dr. Jackie Riddick is medical director and Nisha Ramji is the owner and physician assistant. Nicole Inglesby is the registered dietitian nutritionist. The program focuses on nutrition, lifestyle and exercise. About 130 franchises have been sold in 31 states.

Skagit Bank promoted Peter Cutbill to chief lending officer, and hired Matt Carmichael as a new VP and commercial loan officer in the Ballard office. The bank has a new mortgage loan officer, Heather Lawler, in Arlington. Skagit Bank VP and branch manager Becky Taft was named the Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County Volunteer of the Year.
HomeStreet Bank said Senior Vice President Mark R. Ruh will become interim chief financial officer. He joined the bank this year from Commerce Street Investment Management.
Dr. Suzanne Johnson will be the next president of Green River College. She is vice president for academic affairs at Suffolk County Community College in Long Island, New York, and starts July 1, succeeding Interim President Scott Morgan. Johnson was dean of Dowling College, and interim president of the Sylvania Campus of Portland Community College.

Washington STEM named one of its founders, Caroline King, chief executive officer. King has over 20 years of experience in education policy, with a focus on science, technology, engineering and math. She has served as Washington STEM's chief policy and strategy officer for seven years, and was executive director of the Partnership for Learning and a founding member of Harvard's Public Education Leadership Project.
Seattle-based Russell Investments hired Joseph “Joe” Linhares to oversee Europe, Middle East and Africa. He spent 16 years at BlackRock focusing on the EMEA region, and will be based in London. He has also worked at Citibank and JPMorgan.
Sound Physicians, a Tacoma-based provider practice, said Atlanta-based Eagle Hospital Medicine Practices joined its organization. Eagle's 150 providers practice at 16 U.S. hospitals. Sound Physicians will now serve more than 225 hospitals in 38 states.
