Ellensburg-based Pautzke Bait Co. promoted Casey Kelley to president and CEO. He is a third generation member of the family that founded the business in the 1930s to supply salmon eggs for fishing. Kelley was vice president of sales, marketing and advertising. Today the company manufactures salmon eggs and fish scents.
Alderbrook namedJason Schimke front office manager. Schimke will manage personnel and budgets. Schimke worked at The Woodmark Hotel and Spa as an account assistant and front desk supervisor. Alderbrook, located in the town of Union on the shores of Hood Canal, is set to re-open in June. It will have a spa and fitness center, waterfront restaurant and bar, meeting space, guestrooms and cottages. Alderbrook is managed by MTM Management.
Cascade Natural Gas elected Scott M. Boggs to its board of directors. Boggs was vice president and corporate controller of Microsoft. He is also a trustee for Safeco Mutual Funds. Boggs replaces Mary E. Pugh, who resigned. Pugh is founder and president of Pugh Capital Management. Cascade provides natural gas to 215,000 customers in Washington and Oregon.
Robert L. Collins was named director of Intermodal Services for the Port of Tacoma. The Port of Tacoma handled 1.74 million 20-foot containers last year. Collins manages the port's operations planning and markets its business. Collins was in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpsman and later worked in biomedical engineering, computer system programming and diagnostic imaging.

Washington Wine Commission, which oversees programs to promote the marketing and branding of Washington state wines, is searching for a new executive director. Steve Burns retired after eight years of service plans to return to San Francisco to open a consulting firm. Interested candidates should contact Judith Cushman at (425) 392-8660.
Emeritus Assisted Living, a national provider of assisted living that is headquartered in Seattle, recently appointed two new people to serve on its board of directors. Bruce L. Busby has served as CEO of Hillhaven Corp., a skilled nursing company based in Tacoma. T. Michael Young is president and CEO of Metal Supermarkets International.
The 2004 KeyBank Business Excellence Award Winners were announced for Snohomish County. The winners were Brunner Construction Co., The Donaldson Clinic, Embassy Suites Seattle North/Lynnwood, Magna Design and the Snohomish County Economic Development Council. The businesses were selected because they provide leadership and vision. The awards will be presented May 12 at 11:30 a.m. at the Embassy Suites, 20620 44th Ave. W., in Lynnwood.
The Port of Portland hired Eric Hedaa as marine and business development media relations manager. Hedaa spent seven years with the U. S. Coast Guard. His most recent assignment was with the Coast Guard's National Strike Force Public Information Assist Team in Elizabeth City, N.C.. Hedaa has traveled the country providing crisis communications during oil spills, chemical releases, natural disasters and weapons of mass destruction incidents. He also managed the Coast Guard Public Affairs office in Chicago and was in public affairs in Honolulu.
