Streamlining workers' comp claims

    Workers suffering from job-related injuries may be able to avert long-term disability under a new state program.

    The state Department of Labor and Industries (L&I) has awarded a contract to Renton-based Valley Medical Center to administer a three-year pilot program that aims to streamline workers' compensation claims and improve the treatment of workplace injuries.
