Holaday-Parks has promoted
Kurt Stefanson from project manager to account executive in the Special Projects/Tenant Improvements Department of the Design/Build Division. Stefanson has been in the sheet metal trade for over 20 years. In his new role, he will provide project management, conceptual design, value engineering, contract negotiations and budget control services. His current projects include PATH @ Ballard Lofts, the United States Postal Service Distribution Center and Turgeon Raine Jewelers, all in Seattle.

Doug Walter of Climate Engineers is one of five nationally-selected experts that co-authored the recently released "Kitchen Ventilation Systems and Food Service Equipment Fabrication and Installation Guidelines" by the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association. The publication provides information in a non-technical format for inter-related professionals such as architects, contractors, building and fire code officials, building owners and facility managers. It also includes guidelines of industry accepted practice for making custom food service equipment used in commercial kitchens. Walter is Climate's specialty metals manager.
Lakewood's John Korsmo Construction has named Jeffrey T. Tiegs vice president of operations. Tiegs, previously a senior project manager, is responsible for all aspects of the daily operations of the company and reports directly to President John Korsmo Jr. Tiegs has been with the company for eight years and holds a bachelor's degree in construction science from Central Washington University.
The Inland Northwest Associated General Contractors has hired Wayne Brokaw as its new executive director. Brokaw comes from Washington State University, where he was the school's labor relations director. Prior to that, he was the human resources officer at Acme Materials and Construction Co. in Spokane. At Acme, Brokaw was actively involved with the AGC, serving on several committees and teaching classes on communications and leadership. He will assume his new duties April 1. An open house to meet Brokaw will be held 3-5 p.m. May 10 at the AGC office

Leandra Thompson has joined the Spokane office of KJM & Associates as a project manager. Thompson has 10 years of project management experience in education and nonprofit construction. In May, she expects to receive a master's degree in architecture in design-build management. She is a winner of the National Distinguished Leadership Award from the Design-Build Institute of America and a research grant from the Associated General Contractors of Washington Education Foundation. KJM & Associates is a Bellevue-based project and construction management consulting firm with offices in the West.

Kirtley-Cole Associates, a Snohomish County general contracting firm specializing in design/build and team build project solutions, has hired
Mark Lewinski as senior project manager. Lewinski brings over 20 years management and construction experience in education, medical, biotech and mixed-use projects. Prior to joining Kirtley-Cole, Lewinski spent 14 years with McCarthy in Bellevue.
Aecon Buildings has hired Jim Sansburn as controller and Mark Hillman as a project engineer. Sansburn brings 18 years of finance, accounting and administration management experience to the position through his recent work with several of the area's top homebuilders. Part of his new duties include developing and monitoring Aecon’s Customer Satisfaction Index. Hillman is assisting with the construction of the South Hill Center retail project in Puyallup
