Seattle's DPD readies new building codes

    Want to know if you should equip your new building with carbon monoxide detectors? Or whether you can run the fire sprinklers from the building's plumbing system?

    Better check the Seattle building codes.


    Seattle building code updates
    An overview is available on the city website including links to the new legislation and to groups that offer code training. The city plans to publish the 2009 codes by the end of the month.

    An ordinance relating to the Seattle Building Code appeared in yesterday's DJC.
