Seattle's DPD readies new building codes

  • A 1,200-page update of the current code includes better evacuation measures for high-rise buildings.

    Better check the Seattle building codes.

    Seattle building code updates
    An overview is available on the city website including links to the new legislation and to groups that offer code training. The city plans to publish the 2009 codes by the end of the month.

    An ordinance relating to the Seattle Building Code appeared in yesterday's DJC.
