Canadian firm: Seattle has huge geothermal potential

    The Hotel Georgia in Vancouver, B.C., recently had a geothermal system put in beneath its new tower as part of a renovation project.

    Today, geothermal heating and cooling systems aren't too common in Seattle because they are considered to be an expensive, long-term investment. A firm from Canada recently moved to town and is hoping to change that by promoting hybrid systems.
