Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center in Seattle appointed James Hendricks to the newly created position of vice president of research. Hendricks joins Children's from Children's Hospital in New Orleans, where he was vice president of research and technology.
Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe, a San Francisco-based law firm, created the Diversity Fellowship Program. The program will provide summer employment and scholarships to first-year law students who show promise of contributing to the legal community's diversity. In 2004, four students will be awarded a paid summer associate clerkship at Heller Ehrman and an academic scholarship.
EvergreenBank, a Seattle-based independent commercial bank, named Clifford R. Sullam vice president and relationship manager for the Seattle branch. Sullam comes to Evergreen from Pacific Northwest Bank.
Graham & Dunn, a Seattle-based law firm, made Margarita I. Morrow an associate and member of the firm's real estate industry team. Morrow advises clients in commercial real estate transactions and represents financial institutions and borrowers in real estate secured loans. Douglas J. Smart, a shareholder and a member of the firm's financial services team, was appointed to the Board of Regents for the American College of Mortgage Attorneys.
Michael H. Runyan is now a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an Irvine, Calif.-based legal association. Runyan is a partner with Lane Powell Spears Lubersky, a Seattle-based law firm. His practice focuses on commercial litigation and product liability.

Mike Smith of Bellingham will serve a one-year term as president. Smith is majority owner/principal of Zervas Group Architects, an 11-member architecture and interior design firm. He served on the executive board from 1994 to 1997, and was president in 1996.

Lois Wardell of the Yakima firm Wardell Architects will serve as president-elect. Blake Bolton of the Tacoma firm McGranahan Architects will continue as secretary-treasurer, and Richard Wagner of Baylis is immediate past president.
Yamaguchi
|
Yamaguchi has 25 years of landscape architecture experience in public and private projects. Since joining Nakano Associates in 2000, Yamaguchi's projects have included the Fifth and Bell Building, Friendly Grove Park, Bellevue Access Project, Anacortes Library, Shoreline Community College master plan update, Bellevue Transit Center, South 154th Street Light Rail Station and Holly Park Development Phase 3.
Nakano Associates specializes in landscape architecture, parks and recreation planning, campus planning and design, and urban design with a focus on building community. Current projects include Rainier Vista redevelopment, High Point redevelopment and Tacoma Convention Center and Pacific Square.
Tami Tedrow, who is responsible for marketing business development for the Northwest region of The Austin Co., recently passed the Society of Marketing Professional Service's exam. Tedrow has been with The Austin Co. since 1999.
