Foster Pepper

The Seattle office of the law firm Foster Pepper has promoted three associates to members. They are Neil Dial, Chris Napier and Alice Ostdiek. Dial joined the firm in 1999 and is in the Litigation Practice Group. Napier joined the firm in 2005 and serves in the Real Estate Practice Group. Ostdiek joined the firm in 2000 and is part of the Municipal Government Practice Group.

The Polyclinic

The Polyclinic in Seattle hired Scott A. Nelson as chief financial officer. Nelson was finance director at Virginia Mason Medical Center. The Polyclinic is made up of 130 physicians.

Stoel Rives

The Seattle office of law firm Stoel Rives hired Aric H. Jarrett as an associate in the Litigation Practice Group. Jarrett is a graduate of the Seattle University School of Law.

Cascade Water Alliance

The Cascade Water Alliance hired Ed Oberg as CEO. Oberg has 32 years experience in policy and financial matters. With Oberg's hiring, Michael Gagliardo who has been general manager of Cascade since it was formed in 1999, assumes the title of director of planning. This year, the alliance becomes owner and operator of Lake Tapps and will begin construction of a regional water supply pipeline.

Clothier & Head

Clothier & Head, a public accounting firm, hired six new staff accountants. They are David Roer, Christine Horvath, Josh Breiling, Winter Liang, Peter Sayah and Nicole Myers. They will provide accounting, audit, and tax services to individual and corporate clients.

DCI Engineers promoted Greg Gilda to principal and Jeff Brink to associate and hired Chun Lau as an associate in the structural engineering department. Gilda joined the DCI Engineers structural department in 2002. His projects include the Boulevard mixed-use project in Kirkland, a LEED-in-design Terry Avenue office building and designs for Monolithic Sculptures, a company specializing in design for climbing walls and boulders. Brink joined DCI Engineers’ structural division as a project manager in 2005. Brink’s past projects include The Bravern in Bellevue, Ballard Apartments, High Streets Retail Center and Point Edwards Condominiums. Lau has more than 20 years of experience. Lau is working on Coast Crane, an office, storage and manufacturing facility, and a seven-story mixed-use building.

Northwest Mechanical Engineering

Wilcox
Northwest Mechanical Engineering hired Jon Wilcox as a mechanical engineer. Wilcox previously worked for Siemens Building Technology. He is working on Edison Elementary, North Idaho College, Alpine Dental and the Jameson Hotel.

Berger/ABAM Engineers hired Robert Bean and Jose Suazo in its Seattle office. Bean has 15 years of experience in transportation, site civil, and municipal projects, and is working on Purdy Creek Bridge, a raised roadway and bridge replacement project in Mason County. Bean was a project engineer with the city of Kirkland and WSDOT. Suazo also has experience with transportation, site civil and municipal projects. He is working on the interchange project in Federal Way for WSDOT.

PBS Engineering + Environmental promoted four new shareholders. Tom Archer was promoted to senior project manager in the Portland office, Jennifer Porter was promoted to controller in the Portland office, Gary Stensland was promoted to senior project manager in natural resources in the Seattle office and Rajiv Ali was promoted to senior geotechnical engineer in the Vancouver office. The firm also promoted eight people to senior associate positions. Ulysses Cooley will be a senior hydrogeologist in the Bend office, Mike Eldredge will be a senior project manager in the Eugene office, Mark Hiley will be a project manager in the Seattle office, Tami Skiles will be human resources manager in the Portland office and Steve Devine will be a senior project manager in the Kennewick office. In the Vancouver office, Todd Leavitt will be an IT manager, Gina Erickson will be an office manager and John Jenkins will be senior engineering geologist.

HBB

HBB promoted Ryan Lambert and Patricia Lenssen to associates. Lambert’s recent work includes preliminary landscape design for the Mercer corridor, streetscape improvements for Yakima and port projects in Seattle and Everett. Lenssen has experience in park design and public involvement is working on projects in Edmonds, Bothell and West Seattle.

Venture Bank

Venture Bank hired Bill Herrera as a business banking manager at the bank's Redmond Downtown Financial Center. He has 26 years of banking experience. Venture Bank has 18 financial centers in four Western Washington counties.

Kibble and Prentice

Kibble & Prentice, an insurance and financial services company, hired William Whitaker as senior vice president in the Private Client Group and Gerry Gray as vice president in the Private Client Group.

Economic Development Commission

Gov. Chris Gregoire appointed Egils Milbergs director of the newly formed Economic Development Commission. Milbergs is founder and president of the Center for Accelerating Innovation. The commission will help update the state's economic development vision and strategies.

Guidant Financial Group

Bellevue-based Guidant Financial Group hired Stephen Roche as president and chief operating officer. Roche was vice president and general manager of ShareBuilder Corp. He replaces David Nilssen in the post of president, though Nilssen will retain his post as CEO.

Nordic Heritage Museum

The Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle hired Eric Nelson as executive director. Nelson worked with the Napa Valley Museum in Yountville, Calif., where he was executive director since 1999. Founded in 1980, the Nordic Heritage Museum highlights the contributions of Nordic immigrants and their descendants in the Pacific Northwest.
