Den Hoed Wine Estates

Wine grape growers Bill and Andy Den Hoed announce the debut of Den Hoed Wine Estates in partnership with Long Shadows Founder Allen Shoup and Boudreaux Cellers owner Rob Newsom. Together, they will release the 2005 Den Hoed Marie's View red blend and the 2006 Den Hoed Andreas Cabernet Sauvignon. They have worked on this project since establishing a joint venture in 2005. The wines are named after the Den Hoed's parents, Dutch immigrants who began farming in Washington state in the 1950s.

Benaroya Research Institute

Immunologist Estelle Bettelli has been hired at the Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason as an assistant member. Bettelli has dedicated most of her career to understanding the immunological issues of multiple sclerosis. She was recently an assistant professor at Harvard Medical School.

Foster Pepper

Foster Pepper Of Counsel Judy Runstad and her husband Jon Runstad were recognized by the University of Washington and the University of Washington Foundation with the Gates Volunteer Service Award. This award is presented annually to honor individuals whose volunteer efforts have encouraged others to support the University of Washington through time, service and philanthropy.

Pioneer Human Services

Pioneer Human Services, a Seattle-based regional nonprofit social-enterprise organization, was honored with the Friend of Housing Organization Achievement Award from the Washington State Housing Finance Commission. Pioneer received the annual award for expanding affordable housing.

Grubb & Ellis said Richard Wieneke joined the company as senior vice president, Investment Group. Wieneke will specialize in the sale and acquisition of distressed assets. Wieneke spent the majority of his career at Kennedy Associates Real Estate Counsel and also spent five years at Opus Northwest. Most recently he was owner of the development firm TNR LLC.

Sperry Van Ness International, a national real estate firm affiliated with Coast|Sperry Van Ness of Everett, awarded Josh Jansen the Market Dominator Award as one of the top five commercial real estate advisors in the United States. Coast|Sperry Van Ness said its Jansen Multifamily Team arranged sale of The Sunset Villa Apartments in Edmonds. The team includes Jansen, Todd Thompson and Matt Wilson.

Regal Logistics hired Andy Crane and Tony Wilmoth as sales directors in charge of expanding services and market share. Regal said it has more than 1.2 million square feet of distribution space in the Pacific Northwest and the Southeast, specializing in high volume, mass retailer distribution.
