Garden City Group, a Seattle-based legal administration firm, has a new management team. Kenneth Cutshaw is president and CEO; Stephen Cirami is executive vice president and COO; and Scott Nader is executive vice president and general counsel. Cutshaw was chairman and CEO of the global advisory group GNG. Cirami has been with the firm for 12 years. Nader was with GCG's parent organization Crawford & Co.
Stokes Lawrence said Liz Findley has joined the firm's litigation practice. She was with Montgomery Scarp. Stokes Lawrence is a business law firm with offices in Seattle and Yakima.

HFF last month added Carrie Kahn as a director in the Portland office. She will focus on multifamily housing investment sales in the Northwest. Kahn has more than 10 years of experience in multifamily. She last worked at CBRE as a first vice president in the investment properties group, where she was involved in more than $1.5 billion in transactions in Portland and Chicago. She has also worked at Fifield Cos, a Chicago developer, and in the real estate banking group at J.P. Morgan.
AreaMetrics, a Seattle-based analytics platform for brick and mortar retailers, said it raised $2 million in seed funding. AreaMetrics helps retailers understand what consumer want and how they shop. It was founded in Hawaii in 2014, and moved to Westlake Tower's WeWork coworking space in Seattle in January, seeking tech talent and potential business partners.
Point B Inc.'s Michael Retter has been named one of Consulting Magazine's top 35 consultants under 35. Retter focuses on international project management, with an emphasis on supply chain, organizational development and delivery. Point B is based in Seattle and does development, management consulting and venture investment. The firm's website says it has worked on ski resorts, airports, schools and tech projects.
The Washington chapter of the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute has established a $1,000 annual scholarship named for Connie Sombs Boyle for CCIM classes and live presentations. Boyle started her career at Coldwell Banker Danforth, before moving to Colliers International in 2003. In 2010, she became a vice president at The Andover Co. in Tukwila. Mahlum promoted Joseph Mayo and Karen Wood to associate. Mayo was hired in 2008 and focuses on education, student housing and health care projects. His work includes West Campus Housing Phase I at the University of Washington and Muckleshoot Indian Tribe's smokehouse. In 2015, he published “Solid Wood: Case Studies on Mass Timber Architecture, Technology & Design.” Wood has over 10 years with Mahlum, and has worked on education projects, including Arlington Elementary School and a high school for Issaquah School District.



NK Architects hired Leon Holloway as a project manager, Emily Evanston as a project architect and Alex Gallegos as a staff architect. Holloway has over 10 years of multifamily and institutional experience, and is president of the Northwest chapter of the National Organization of Minority Architects. Evanston has five years of architecture and historic preservation experience. Her work has focused on mixed-use projects, including 12th Avenue Arts on Capitol Hill. Gallegos has a background in architecture and interior design for multifamily, retail and hospitality projects. He holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from the University of Texas at San Antonio.





In its Seattle headquarters, Shannon & Wilson promoted Hisham Sarieddine to vice president, Rob Clark, Wendy Mathieson and David Ward to senior associate, and Brian Reznick to associate. Sarieddine is a geotechnical engineer with experience in structures and federal highways, and with port, state, federal and transit clients. Clark is a geotechnical engineer with a specialty in geotechnical and structural instrumentation for buildings, excavations, dams, landslides and tunnels. Mathieson is a geotechnical engineer who has worked on slope stabilization, ground improvement and shoring projects. Ward is a civil engineer and engineering geologist who works on underground projects in soil and rock. Reznick is a geotechnical engineer, with experience in foundations, shoring, levees and dikes, ground improvement, slope stabilization and settlement analysis. Shannon & Wilson provides geotechnical engineering and environmental consulting.

Mackenzie hired architect Jim Riley in Seattle. Riley has over 16 years of experience, including high-rises. He interned at Mackenzie in 1999 before joining another Portland-area architecture firm. He was project architect and project manager for Edith Green Wendell Wyatt Federal Building in Portland and project architect on Wilshire Center condos in Los Angeles. Mackenzie provides architecture and interior design; structural, civil and traffic engineering; land use and transportation planning; and landscape architecture.

Seattle-based Meng Analysis hired Joel Gragg as marketing manager. Gragg was with DLR Group previously, and led marketing for Boeing and Justice+Civic sectors. Meng provides quality and cost performance services, including value analysis, constructability reviews, commissioning, condition analysis and estimating.


In Redmond, Otak hired Charles Dewey as an engineering designer and water resource analyst, and Lindsay Martin as a landscape design and planning professional. Dewey holds bachelor's and master's degrees in civil and environmental engineering from University of Washington. He is an engineering-in-training and is working on stormwater retrofits for Burien and Snohomish County. Martin holds bachelor's and master's of landscape architecture from University of Idaho. She is supporting Moshier Park for Burien. Otak is an urban design, architecture, planning and engineering firm.

Walker Parking Consultants named Vladimir Ivanov principal in the Seattle office. Ivanov will manage operations and oversee projects in the Northwest. He has 20 years of structural engineering and forensic design experience. He joined Walker Restoration Consultants, an arm of Walker Parking Consultants, in 2014 as a project manager in Seattle. Walker Parking Consultants is a global firm that provides consulting, design, engineering and restoration services.
Perkins Coie named four Seattle-based partners to leadership positions. David McShea is chair of the Executive Committee, succeeding Laura Neebling, who recently retired. Katie O'Sullivan leads the Commercial Litigation practice in Seattle, succeeding Tom Boeder. Colonel Betz is chair of the Trust & Estate Planning practice, succeeding Janis Cunningham. Amy Tucker is personnel chair of Trust & Estate Planning. The firm has 1,000 lawyers in 19 offices.
Corr Cronin Michelson Baumgardner Fogg & Moore hired Eric Lindberg as an associate focusing on civil and intellectual property litigation. He served as a law clerk for the Honorable Betty Binns Fletcher on U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for the Honorable Ann Schindler on Washington State Court of Appeals, Division One.
