June 16, 2005
It was less than five months ago that noted developer Jim Mueller left Vulcan Inc. to join Gregory Broderick Smith Real Estate as a principal. Now Mueller is leaving Smith's company to start a new venture.
The move has been the buzz of the commercial real estate sector and no wonder. Mueller has had a storied career. He led mega projects for Koll Development and Koll Real Estate Group in Asia and the United States. From 2000 to 2005 he worked for Vulcan, where he was in charge of planning and development of 30 blocks in South Lake Union. The total buildout of that project one of the largest urban redevelopments on the planet, according to Mueller's Web site jcmueller.com will approach $3 billion.
