Pacific Real Estate Partners is no more — at least in name — so now the back story of its merger last week with Jones Lang LaSalle is coming out.
The big question is: How much did JLL, a global company with more than 40,000 employees, pay to acquire PREP's local expertise and connections? As talk of the merger heated up last summer, there was an unconfirmed report that the figure was $8 million, but neither party will discuss it.
