The key to aging in place for older homeowners might be right under their noses.
Dr. Barbara Stucki, a Bend, Ore., researcher and consultant, plans to complete a study next month for the National Council on the Aging that supports tapping home equity via a reverse mortgage as the critical financing vehicle to help seniors afford long-term care services at home.
