Three new leases have been signed at the Tacoma Mall for abercrombie, Helzberg Diamonds and Vans Shoes. Openings for the three stores are scheduled for spring.

Terri Mohr became a sales agent in John L. Scott's North Seattle office. Ian Phares joined as an agent in the firm's Magnolia office.
Plaintiff attorneys will hold a legal forum for condominium owners on Saturday, March 2, at the Mercer View Community Center on Mercer Island. A national nonprofit association for condo owners named the Community Association Institute is sponsoring the event, which will start at 9 a.m. Lawyers who will speak include Chris Casey, Terry Leahy, James Strichartz, Gary Ackerman of Foster Pepper & Shefelman, Marion Morgentam and Brian McLean of Brady & McLean. Topics will include the state Condominium Act and possible legislative revisions, new federal homeowner association laws, mixed-use condo projects and water damage to condos. GMAC issued a $2.05 million, 30-year mortgage on the Terrace View Apartments, south of Seattle University in Seattle. The 20-unit apartment building is at 914 E. Terrace St. GMAC vice president Ron Peterson said the loan went through Freddie Mac.
Thomas Beeks joined Portland-based MBK Northwest's Seattle office as an asset manager for Parkway SuperCenter in Tukwila and Lakewood Towne Center in Lakewood. Prior to MBK, Beeks worked as asset manager for Pacific Coast Ventures LLC. He oversaw retail projects and generated new brokerage, development and management business. He also worked as a senior real estate manager for TRF Management on medical buildings and retail projects in the Puget Sound region. Beeks is a graduate of Central Washington University.
Carol Peisley received the Appraisal Institute's SRA designation, which demonstrates expertise in valuing single-family homes. MAI Seattle Chapter President James Price called SRA "THE credential" in residential appraising. Peisley is the principal at Sound Valuations in Kent and a 10-year residential appraiser.

Allen Safer was named the appraiser of the year for the Seattle chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Safer's roles with the institute have included Seattle director, regional chairman and national director. He managed an appraisal practice for 20 years and is now with Property Counselors in Seattle. His practice includes valuation, market studies and feasibility studies for industrial, commercial and multifamily projects throughout the Northwest.
Darrin Rose paid the Ceis Family LLC $525,000 for a six-unit apartment building at 3026 64th Ave. S.W. Marcus & Millichap brokers put the deal together, with George Miller representing Ceis Family LLC and Dan Swanson working for Rose.
Mori Ecklund, Lynelle Stauffer, Mike Loughlin, David Foster and Suzy Duke joined John L. Scott Real Estate's Port Orchard residential sales office. Pat Bash-Velasquez and Tana Belger became agents in the firm's Kingston office. Heather Holmen, Jennifer Condon, Kari Bradley, Laurie Marotta, Lisa Phipps, Tony Neal and Andee Richards joined the Silverdale office. Mark Larson, Teresa Dwyer, Charlie Dwyer, Dawn Vahcic-Pride and David Rich signed on in the Poulsbo office.
Dariush Shafagh became a sales agent in the Laurelhurst office, with Sandra Cantrall and Brian Burke starting in Bellevue South. Marvin Ahlstrand and Jeff Howard are now in the Redmond office. Alex Black, Joan Harvey and Martina Jaeger joined the North Seattle office.
Nancy Whitaker joined Response mortgage as a senior loan officer in the Poulsbo branch. Whitaker has 20 years of experience in real estate lending. Before Response, she worked for Washington Mutual. The Kitsap County resident is president of the Silverdale Chamber of Commerce.
