Pacific Crest Savings Bank

Lynnwood-based Pacific Crest Savings Bank has opened a home loan center in Mount Vernon at 1615 Buck Way. Pete Edgecomb will oversee three loan officers and two support staff. Edgecomb worked for Pacific Crest when its name was Phoenix Savings Bank. He opened a CTX Mortgage office in Mount Vernon.

Egis Real Estate Services

Egis has launched Egis Certified, a building commissioning and LEED certification service that Egis officials say will reduce costs for developers. Mark Weed, president of Egis, a Seattle property management and facilities engineering company, says Egis started the program because of strong interest in sustainable building. Egis Service Manager Brian Moore and Tom Ripley lead Egis Certified.

Ronald-Nelson Associates

Ronald-Nelson Associates of Seattle is one of eight independent mortgage banking companies across the nation that has established U.S. Realty Capital. It will allow Ronald-Nelson bankers to expand investor relations and bring new financing opportunities to the Puget Sound-area real estate market. U.S. Realty Capital officials say it is on track to finance more than $1 billion in debt and equity in 2005. Ronald-Nelson Associates historically has financed office, industrial, multifamily, retail and single-tenant properties. Now the company can take on more complicated transactions for properties, such as nursing homes, resorts, golf courses, master-planned communities, marinas and land development.

Common Ground

Inland Empire Residential Resources Executive Director Darryl Reber has won the Common Ground Brick House Award for developing affordable housing for developmentally disabled people. Reber has increased his group's portfolio from one house in Spokane to more than 80 statewide. Under Reber, Inland Empire Residential Resources has built or remodeled more than $4.8 million worth of houses in King County, where it's developing another five homes this year.

Touchstone Corp.

The National Association of Industrial and Office Properties' Research Foundation has appointed Seattle developer Douglas Howe of Touchstone as one of its 15 governors. The foundation tries to provide the best research on how office, industrial and mixed-use properties can benefit communities across North America.

Windermere Real Estate

Seattle-based Windermere has opened a Los Angeles office on Sunset Boulevard. This is the 27th office in California for the company, which has more than 250 offices and 7,000 agents in nine western states and British Columbia. Fedva Dikmen, who owned Dikmen Travel in Seattle for 30 years, is a new sales associate at Windermere's Wall Street office. Stephanie Kastner is a new sales associate at the Queen Anne office.

John L. Scott Real Estate

Yanneth Longoria has joined the sales team at John L. Scott's Lakewood office. Other new agents are Donald Eby and Aja Johnson, Federal Way; Lindsey King, Bellingham; Kenzie Klinger, Bellevue; and former construction company owner Kelsy Matteson, Gig Harbor.

REAPS

"Five Steps to Buying Houses on Autopilot" is the topic of REAPS' 7 p.m. June 23 meeting at Kane Hall on the University of Washington's Seattle campus. The speaker is Kris Kirschner, creator of "The Autopilot System for Buying & Selling Houses at Lightning Speed." It's free for Real Estate Association of Puget Sound members and $15 for others. BOMI

The BOMA Tri-Cities chapter and The Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI) is accepting applications for the course "Design, Operation and Maintenance, Part I." This is a mandatory course to obtain the BOMI designations of Real Property Administrator or Facilities Management Administrator. The class, which requires advanced self study, will be in Kennewick Sept. 8-9 and 22-23. It's $500 for Building Owners and Managers Association members and $575 for others. Additional fees may apply.
