Step into an office anywhere in the world and you will encounter different workplace cultures. There are five types of workplace cultures: The Dictatorship, The Hierarchy, The Partnership, Empowerment and Chaos.
The Dictatorship: Some bosses are part-time dictators, quiet, benign and accommodating—until a button is pressed, and then watch out! A storm blows in out of nowhere and the tempestuous dictator emerges. Other part-time dictators don't blow up. They are simply moody, so you never know where you are with them. The full-time dictator gives the advantage that you are never blind-sided. This dictator rules, and there is no question about it.
