Erica Natali joined Berk & Associates as an economic analyst. Natali has experience in financial modeling and transportation finance. Berk & Associates is a public policy and management consultancy that works with elected officials and senior managers. Recent projects include market and financial analysis for Washington State Ferries, WSDOT and the Port of Seattle.
Four positions are open on the city of Seattle's Citizens' Telecommunications and Technology Advisory Board. The 16-member board advises city officials on community telecommunications and technology. The board solicits public comment on cable-related needs and interests. Jim McDonald will join the staff of the Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs to manage the city's public art program. McDonald managed cultural programs for the city of Kent, curated at the Tacoma Art Museum and has also worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Seattle's Public Art Program integrates artwork into public settings. The city's collection includes more than 3,000 artworks exhibited in buildings and outdoor locations.
Regional law firm Schwabe, Williamson & Wyatt added patent lawyer Mark C. McClure to its Seattle office. In Portland it added: Melissa A. Boge, Jeff D. Hern, Pierre Keeley, Shonee D. Langford, W. Randy Miller, Christiane R. Fife, Russel R. Robertson, Allyssa Walton and Carrie Wood. Schwabe also has offices in Oregon and Washington D.C.

Eric Brown joined HomeStreet Capital as vice president and manager of community lending. Brown has experience in affordable housing public sector programs, equity investment and real estate development. Ken Norbe has moved to HomeStreet Bank's residential construction department in Seattle as a construction loan officer. Norbe has 20 years of experience and is a commissioner for the Tacoma Housing Authority. HomeStreet Capital is the income property division of Seattle-headquartered HomeStreet Bank.
Mayor Greg Nickels has appointed Holly Miller to head the city Office for Education. Miller was executive director for the New School Foundation. She was also head of the Seattle departments of Parks and Recreation, and Construction and Land Use, and led the King County Department of Planning and Community Developmennt. The Office for Education coordinates city and school partnerships, and the recently renewed Families and Education Levy. Sid Sidorowicz managed the office during the interim.
Tod Finley was named senior business banking relationship manager for the Wells Fargo's Seattle area. Finley has 18 years of financial services experience and worked in commercial real estate lending for Cascade Bank. The company's private client services group named Nona Battistella vice president. Battistella has 11 years of financial services experience and will be based in Seattle. Wells Fargo is a diversified financial services company.
Redmond's PlayNetwork named Lon Troxel executive chairman of its board of directors. Troxel was consultant to PlayNetwork for a year and was also president of DMX Music. PlayNetwork provides in-store music and vide entertainment for retail, restaurant and hospitality businesses.
Seattle-headquartered NeoRx Corp. appointed Susan D. Berland chief financial officer and Caroline M. Loewy vice president of strategic development. Berland was chief financial officer at DNA Sciences and has been a consultant to biotechnology companies. Loewy has more than 11 years of senior management experience in equity research at Wall Street firms, most recently as executive director of biotechnology equity research at Morgan Stanley. NeoRx is a cancer therapeutics development company.
