In Seattle, DCI Engineers hired Tibby Yefrashewa as a CAD designer and Shelly Wadsworth as a senior CAD designer. Yefrashewa is working in the civil department on commercial projects in western Washington. He was a contract AutoCAD drafter and civil CAD designer at Group Four. Wadsworth rejoined DCI after a short time away. She has 18 years of CAD experience, and her projects include W Hotel in San Diego. DCI is a civil and structural engineering firm, with offices also in Spokane, Portland, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Austin and Anchorage.

In Tacoma, it promoted Katie Gauglitz to staff geologist-in-training and Nick Dosch to senior staff EIT. It promoted Shane Kostka to staff GIT in Spokane and James Raspen to project engineer in Portland. Hearsey has six years of experience in fisheries, wetlands and biological assessments. He does natural resources permitting support. Segulja-Lau works on the industrial stormwater and boatyard permit compliance team. She has 26 years of boatyard experience. Frazer has eight years of experience in environmental remediation and geotechnical engineering, and will manage remedial investigations and cleanups. Polka has a year of experience in stormwater permitting and groundwater remediation, and is doing environmental sampling, data collection, design and construction oversight. Gauglitz has six months of experience in groundwater sampling and chemistry, soil sampling, drilling oversight and construction quality assurance. Dosch has a year of experience in water resources and environmental engineering, with a focus on groundwater remediation and stormwater management. Kostka has a year of experience in environmental remediation and is responsible for compliance monitoring, operations and maintenance of groundwater treatment systems. Raspen has four years of experience in groundwater sampling and remediation, stormwater permitting and compliance. He will work on stormwater and groundwater treatment projects. Edmonds-based Landau Associates provides geotechnical and environmental engineering, remediation, permitting and compliance services.

In Seattle, Sazan Group hired Joe Llona as a senior project manager and Qasim Saud as a senior mechanical designer. Llona has over 30 years of experience in mechanical and fire protection engineering, design, energy analysis and computational fluid dynamics. Saud has five years of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection engineering experience and two years of Revit MEP for BIM experience. He has worked on commercial, industrial, educational and medical projects. Sazan Group provides mechanical, electrical, and fire protection engineering, information technology systems consulting, MEP commissioning, and owner representation services, with an office also in Portland.

In Seattle, JRS Engineering hired Jose Estrada as a building science specialist, BK Choi as a building science consultant and Kris Knutson as a building envelope consultant. Estrada has provided design, construction, testing and construction administration for high-rise, curtain wall and window wall projects in the Northwest and Asia. Choi holds a master's in architecture, and has provided concept and technical design for custom design and fabrication projects. Knutson has managed LEED for Homes projects and done performance testing and diagnostics. JRS provides building science consulting, with offices also in Vancouver, B.C., and Calgary, Alberta.

James B. Zack has joined Lane Powell's Seattle office as an attorney in the Bankruptcy and Creditors' Rights Practice Group. Zack was a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Brian D. Lynch and a judicial extern to the Honorable Karen A. Overstreet, both of U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington.

Bellingham-based Skagit Bank hired Dwight Jeppson as a vice president and commercial loan officer in downtown Bellingham. He has more than 25 years of experience in banking and real estate. Skagit Bank was founded in 1958 and has offices in Skagit, Snohomish, Whatcom and King counties.

Nintex

Bellevue-based Nintex said Alain Gentilhomme is its new chief technology officer. Nintex helps organizations with business processes, workflows and mobile apps. Gentilhomme joins Nintex from Seattle-based Parallels, where he led product strategy and technology directions, overseeing 450 technical professionals. He also worked at Acronis and Microsoft.

In Seattle, Walsh Construction Co. promoted Shannon Morey to finish trade superintendent, Nikki Rea to human resources administrator, Rachel Bang to marketing administrative assistant and Elizabeth Rinehart to senior project manager; and added Scott Barnard as assistant superintendent, Aaron Bishop as safety coordinator, Lee Kellogg as project administrator, James Conway as project engineer and Andrew Mixter as assistant superintendent. In 2000, Morey joined the carpenter apprentice program, then worked his way up to foreman and in 2014 became assistant superintendent. Rea started at Walsh in 2008 as front desk administrator, and was promoted in 2012 to project administrator. Bang started at Walsh in 2013 as an office intern. Rinehart started at Walsh in 2005 as a project engineer on the Wesley Homes project. She was promoted in 2009 to project manager. Barnard is working on the Mercy Othello Plaza project. Bishop is working in safety department and on jobsites. Kellogg is assisting the Spring District project team. Conway is working with Derek Johnson in the Seattle office. Mixter is assisting with the Compass at Ronald Commons project.

The Seattle office of Mortenson Construction hired Bryan Esayenko and Kirk Parnham as MEP superintendents on the Elliott Bay Seawall project, Kyle Toole as field engineer, Nick Polack as senior estimator and James Linehan as project engineer. Esayenko started in the construction industry in 1980 as a concrete laborer. Parnham most recently worked on a natural gas power plant in Oregon, and has 15 years of experience with water and wastewater treatment plants. Toole recently earned a bachelor's degree in construction engineering from Montana State University. Polack previously worked as a project manager and estimator for structural concrete companies in the South. Linehan transferred from Mortenson's renewable energy group. He holds a bachelor's degree in construction management and a master's in risk control from the University of Wisconsin–Stout.

Hermanson Co. promoted Knut Nicolaisen, PE, to executive vice president and Troy Lowery to vice president of operations. Nicolaisen is a member of the original group that bought the company from founder Jerry Hermanson in 2000. In his new role, Nicolaisen is leading Hermanson's business units, establishing company goals, setting business development strategies and aligning resources. Lowery joined Hermanson in 2013. He is refining project execution processes, and is working to enhance prefabrication and assembly.
