Real Estate Buzz: The other Schnitzer firm ready to buy

Jordan Schnitzer's Portland-based Harsch Investment Properties signaled its intent to buy more Seattle-area office and industrial properties by hiring Scott Coombs as regional manager in the firm's Seattle office.
Coombs' expertise is knowledge of, and contacts in, the Eastside office market. He previously worked as managing director in the Seattle-area office of Equity Office Properties Trust. He went to Equity as a Spieker Properties executive when Equity bought Spieker last year. Before joining Spieker several years ago, Coombs worked briefly for Unico Properties on the Eastside and for eight years before that as head of Colliers International's Eastside brokerage office.
