Surely somebody has thought about it and already dismissed it. But since the Buzz hasn't seen it explored in writing, let's toss it out for discussion here:
Why not consider demolishing the decrepit Alaskan Way Viaduct but not replacing it with anything other than parking garages, public transit stations and in-city housing where Hwy. 99 would simply stop by the stadiums on the south and the Sonics' training facility on the north?
