South Snohomish County's once white-hot apartment market is overbuilt and headed for a lull in new projects, even though the region as a whole remains on track to hit a 10-year peak in new developments.
In fact, the market-watching firm of Dupre + Scott last week raised its estimate of the number of apartments to finish construction in King County this year to 4,600 units (up from 3,800 the firm had projected earlier in the year) and next year's projection to nearly 7,400 (up from 6,600).
