The proposed Lynnwood Convention Center picked up two-thirds of its site in an $8.5 million purchase and has hired a couple project veterans to move the 35,000-square-foot facility toward a construction start next spring.
The South Snohomish County Public Facilities District paid $8.5 million for 12 acres, much of which the Alderwood Village Shopping Center occupies at Southwest 196th Street and 36th Ave. Southwest.
