| Engineer: | ECS Engineering | |
| General contractors: | Stouder | |
| Architect: | AKS Architects | Owner: | City of Kent |
| Description: |
The city of Kent required emergency back-up power to three sites: the downtown campus, Kent Commons and Public Works shops. The project gives the city increased safety in an emergency.
The facility needed to be large enough to be functional, yet small enough to fit into a tight and congested site. Once this prime consideration was met, ECS needed to address the complex network of existing underground utilities. The solution was to link the utilities, eliminating the re-routing of these systems. | |
