Exxel Pacific

Exxel Pacific partnered with Bellingham’s Community Boating Center to build The Wheelhouse, a new facility designed to make boating more accessible and inclusive. Breaking ground in fall of 2023, this first phase of the center’s expansion includes a heated year-round gathering space, an outdoor deck, storage, and ADA-compliant restrooms and showers.

Exxel donated all fees and led a major fundraising effort, securing materials and labor from trade partners to keep the project within budget. Despite a tight winter schedule and site challenges, the team delivered on time and under budget. The Wheelhouse now provides improved accessibility, environmental safeguards, and upgraded utilities, creating a welcoming space for the community and advancing the center’s mission of inclusive, sustainable boating.
