629 Woodland
Exxel Pacific
The 629 Woodland project transformed a four-story office building into 50 modern apartments, extending the building’s lifespan and addressing urban housing needs. During preconstruction, the team performed selective demolition, removing portions of the roof, interior finishes, and exterior stucco and masonry.
The existing steel structure was retained, while new roofing, siding, windows, and updated MEP systems were installed. Inside, the office floor plats were reconfigured into studios, one-, and two-bedroom units, utilizing existing stairwells and the elevator to minimize structural changes.
This adaptive reuse approach reduced waste, improved energy efficiency, and revitalized the neighborhood. 629 Woodland demonstrates how innovative renovation can deliver sustainable housing solutions while preserving the urban fabric.
