UMC

UMC’s safety culture doesn’t just protect its own teams — it elevates entire jobsites. Through its Pride-Based Safety Program, UMC has influenced general contractors and industry organizations who’ve seen firsthand how this approach improves results, morale and engagement. Many contractors have attended UMC’s safety orientations, and some have even requested materials to adopt the program themselves.

Recently, one contractor asked for a copy of UMC’s safety banner to implement the Pride-Based Safety Program on their own projects. A private third-party audit offered powerful validation, with the auditor stating: “I’ve been doing this for 25 years, and this is the best safety culture I’ve seen.” That recognition reflects how deeply safety is embedded at UMC.

This proven success continues to inspire other contractors and trade partners to replicate UMC’s approach, raising safety standards across the industry.
